Interpreter for the Hearing Impaired Committee

Currently NCCAA has an A.S.L interpreter for the three conferences a year. If NCCAA does need someone preferably those with experience in signing AA meetings or conventions are preferred.

NCCAA will contract with qualified signers for the deaf and persons who are hard of hearing attending NCCAA Conferences. It is suggested they contact their Central Office or Intergroup to obtain information pertaining to the local availability of interpreters for the hearing impaired.

Experience has shown that qualified signers who are AA members carry our message the best. The maximum costs per conference (and hourly rate) will be determined in advance and a written contract should be submitted to the NCCAA Chairperson for approval. A separate line item for this expense will be shown on the Conference Financial Statement.
